(Washington, D.C.) Today, Rep. Grace F. Napolitano (CA-32) voted in favor of H.R. 678, the Bureau of Reclamation Small Conduit Hydropower Development and Rural Jobs Act. Napolitano supported final passage of the bill after an amendment was adopted altering the controversial provision that would have waived the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for these projects.

Napolitano’s Hoover Dam Bill Becomes Law

(Washington, D.C.) Today, at a signing ceremony at the White House, President Barack Obama signed the Hoover Power Allocation Act, a bill originally authored by Rep. Grace F. Napolitano that determines how the Hoover Dam will be run for the next fifty years and provides new access to power for Native American tribes and other groups.
