National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention Briefing
Tomorrow, Rep. Grace F. Napolitano will co-host a briefing with the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance) for Members and staff to learn about the organization and what it is doing to save lives. The Action Alliance was launched in 2010 by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates to advance the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention (NSSP), which has a goal to save 20,000 lives in five years.
The Action Alliance is led by the Honorable John M. McHugh, Secretary of the Army and the Honorable Gordon Smith, President and CEO of the National Association of Broadcasters.
